Do you often forget important things? Play with yourself in words and shapes!
How often do names of people fly out of your head, apartment numbers of friends, your own promises? Does it happen that during a dialogue a thought spins in your head, but does not add up to the right word? Then you should definitely take these exercises into service. You probably have a little memory problem, and it’s time to train it.
How to Improve Memory: Brain Exercises
A set of exercises to improve memory is called neurobics. Almost like aerobics, which is available to both adults and children of any level of physical fitness. But there is still one difference. Neurobics can be practiced anywhere and anytime. Here are some simple exercises.
An incredible way to perform your brain abilities is casino games. With Vave, the best online casino, you’ll have access to thousands of games that will boost your neurons.
Reverse Order and Shape
You will need a sheet of paper and a pen: start writing numbers from 1-20 while calling them in reverse order.
Take the second sheet and another pen. First, with both hands, draw, for example, a circle, then two different shapes (the right one is a square, the left one is a triangle).
Mental Drawing
Choose an object – a vase or a cactus – and look at it for 3-5 seconds. Close your eyes and imagine it with all the details again, open your eyes, check with the original and repeat the procedure until you get an identical image in your mind. By the way, it is believed that Aivazovsky used this exercise when he painted his paintings.
Matches Game
This one is more complicated. Take a few matches, remember their location for 2-3 seconds and try to imagine how they lie with your eyes closed. Or lay them out from memory on another sheet. Each time add a few matches, and when you get to 12-14, start again with 4-5. But now remember the location of the match heads.
Two People Game
Invite another person to put an object in front of you, and guess by touch what it is. Activation of the rest of the senses is guaranteed.
Improvise a Story
Look around and come up with a funny story about what’s happening right now.
Reverse Words
Say “elephant” in reverse – “tnahpele”, then “apple” – “elppa”. In general, any word that you like, the main thing is vice versa!
No multiples of Five
Remember when you were a kid you had to count to 100 to fall asleep? Start counting up to 100 without calling multiples of five, and when you’re done, start at the end.
From Right to Left
In Arabic countries, reading from right to left is unlikely to improve the memory of native speakers of this language, but for us it is a wonderful training to improve concentration.
Reversed Calendar
And now a test for elementary school graduates: list all the months, seasons and days of the week in reverse order.
Letters and Words
Final exercise. Choose any letter and name at least 20 words that begin with it.
If you periodically perform some of these exercises, your memory will improve, your attention will become more tenacious, and your thoughts will be more structured.
As a bonus – another exercise that you can do in the evenings. Sit on the couch, make yourself comfortable and remember your day in full detail. What smells did you smell today? Who did you communicate with? What did you feel during this communication? What were you busy with?
